Happy Time Preschool Mission Statement

Getting to know each child is one of the most delightful aspects of teaching.  It is a special and rewarding experience to be a part of children's lives as they discover who they are and what they can do.

As early childhood educators we recognize that each child needs to build a healthy self-concept so that he/she can develop with confidence.

Our curriculum begins with each individual child.  Certain milestones must be met before moving to the next stage in development.

As your child's first teachers, we will provide a rich, nurturing, hands-on environment where your child can learn to love learning.

Some of the ways this is done:

• Children delight in the safe, clean, bright and cheerful atmosphere of Happy Time Preschool.  New equipment is purchased every year.

• Frequent, positive, warm interactions among children and adults.

• Planned learning activities appropriate to each child's age and development as outlined in the NAEYC Accreditation Criteria and Procedures.

• Specially trained early childhood teachers.

• Two teachers for each class.

• Many varied age-appropriate materials.

• A healthy and safe environment for children.

• Nutritious snacks.

• Regular communication with parents.

• Parents welcome to spend the day anytime.

• Ongoing systematic evaluation.

• Effective, on-site administration.
